Ecotage is the harsh noise project of Bristol based Isaac Windsor. Thematically this release deals with tree sitting, a form of environmentalist in which a protester sits in a tree, usually on a small platform built for the purpose, to protect it from being cut down. This protest is also used as a tactic to delay logging companies long enough that legal action can be taken to halt needless and barbaric clear cutting practices. Sonically, samples are used, distorted and warped, crushed up against the sound of metal objects, creating dense waves of sound. Harsh noise in defence of Mother Earth.
