Distraxi is one of the most exciting and vital projects to have emerged from the U.K. scene in the past couple of years, and it’s an honour to finally have her release with Outsider Art. “There Is A Warmth I Crave And Never Get” is an album that took the best part of two years of work, and sees Distraxi displaying some of their most tender synth work so far, whilst also not shying away from the feedback and blown out vocals that make her live shows so impactful. Continuing the theme of wrapping deeply personal context matter in historic and religious references, it makes for one of the strongest releases in an increasingly high quality body of work. This is the sound of an artist really hitting their stride.
