Playworker Cassettes

A selection of titles from the Playworker back catalogue reissued for the recent live PW shows.

Hyper Aware:
C20 featuring two side long tracks. Dark atmospheric harsh noise. Made from scrap metal, effects and ill feelings. Mastered by Foul Prey.

Season’s End:
Recorded at the very end of 2020, and having spent a few years in label purgatory, Season’s End finally sees a release. Two side long harsh noise pieces, deep distorted layers rub against the echoes of falling metal in freezing empty spaces. These two tracks capture the frustration of being trapped in the cold of the proverbial tunnel, knowing it will end soon, but not if there will be a light there.

Lingering:
Cassette from 2023, expanding on the sounds made on Hyper Aware. Produced for the first out of town Playworker shows,

Desire & Escape: Originally available on the January ‘26 weekender with Distraxi and Pale World. Originally in a memorex L case, this edition is in a flexi case, dubbed on a c20, with both tracks on both sides.
