Five years after releasing their debut tape on Outsider Art, Insatiable Wound (the harsh noise alter ego of Slow Murder) returns with a new full length. "Crooked" operates around the idea of the body and mind being crooked, harm being a way of taking ownership of a body and an indentity that is at odds with the one the mind desires. Dysphoric and dysmorphic thoughts abound. Noise for harm, and harm as a mean to acheive a sense of self. Clocking in at nearly an hour, "Crooked" brings moments of drawn out high end feedback broken up with crunching contact mic abuse. Metal rings out amongst the screeches and crackle, an oppressive experience carved by an amplified blade.
